- Filename : Virus_CheckerII / VirusChecker.brain
-
- Size : xx.xxx bytes / xx.xxx bytes
-
- Version : 1.9 / 2.10
-
- Changes :
-
-
- In VirusCheckerII:
-
- - Added support for memory surveilance by Xvs Library routines
-
- - Added support for file check and repair functions of Xvs Library
-
- - Fixed a bug occuring with the Arexx port. VirusCheckerII didn`t
- report what file was infected with what.
-
- - Fixed a bug occuring also with the Arexx port. When a file was
- scanned launched from a arexx script and a file was infected
- then a requester would pop up which isn`t supposed to happen.
- Thanks to Dr. Ice sEASONS and John Marchant for reporting
- these bugs.
-
- - Fixed a minor bug in the Arexx port notification system.
- Now also the infected file in an infected archive is reported
- through the VCHECK variables.
-
- - Fixed the Progress Indicator which pops up during initialisation
-
- - Made the Default Scan Path editable.
-
- - Added a third variable to the Arexx port. This will show the infected
- file in an infected archive. If no archive was checked, this
- variable should not contain anything. However, I am not that good
- in Arexx and found out that checking if the variables name is
- inside was a way to find out if there was a filename or 'nothing'
- inside. Check Virus_CheckerII.dopus5 and XVirusCheckerII.rexx
- in the Arexx directory for more info/help.
-
- - Fixed logfile support. Everytime a scan was initiated, the log was
- overwritten, this isn`t the case anymore. Now you might end up
- having a really biiiig logfile and won`t loose the previous scan
- results.
-
- In Installer Script:
-
- - Added upgrade and normal install support for Xvs.library
-
-
- In VirusChecker.brain:
-
- - Acid Infector 1.5 (thanks to Brad Rogers)
-
- Note(s):
-
- VirusCheckerII is now, through the use of the Xvs library
- able to detect all the older and some of the new viruses.
- It is however not my intention to totally relie on this
- library and in the future all those viruses WILL be added
- to the brainfile. That the brainfile is still the most
- important source of detection and cleaning becomes clear
- when one knows that the Xvs routines are the last to be
- called in file checking. So if a new routine ha sbeen added
- to the brainfile, this will be used first.
-
- Also, since the Xvs library sometimes has the same detection
- on files, Ignoring files, will totally ignore it and not just
- push the requester away like happened before. Thus: it will
- not be checked anymore after 'Ignore File' has been pressed.
